A Minas Arena, concessionária que administra o estádio do Mineirão, entrou com uma ação, distribuída na última sexta-feira no Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de Minas Gerais (TJMG), executando R$ 12.051.710,74 do Cruzeiro. O LANCE! teve acesso ao pedido, distribuído na 25ª Vara Cível da Comarca de Belo Horizonte.

Esta cobrança da concessionária é mais uma de uma série de ações judiciais que a empresa vem ingressando contra o Cruzeiro nos últimos anos. O valor, deste caso, se refere ao reembolso de 70% dos custos operacionais das partidas disputadas pela Raposa no estádio, referentes aos anos de 2016 e 2017.

O LANCE! procurou a concessionária, que confirmou a ação. Em nota enviada para a reportagem, a empresa informou que este reembolso dos custos operacionais se referem a questões “como segurança, limpeza, brigadistas, dentre outros”. Foi informado também que “já estavam ajuizadas as dívidas referentes aos anos de 2013, 2014 e 2015” e que “reuniões periódicas acontecem com o clube para tratar esta questão”.

Também foi informado no comunicado pela Minas Arenas que “a diretoria do Cruzeiro já estava ciente deste ajuizamento e pagou parte das despesas do ano de 2018”. A concessionária completou dizendo que a direção da Raposa “conversa com a administração do Mineirão sobre a quitação de 70% dos custos relativos ao ano passado, conforme previsto em contrato”.

A diretoria do Cruzeiro foi procurada pelo LANCE!, mas não encontrada até a publicação desta reportagem.

Vithanage’s fifth first-class century, ending the day on anunbeaten 157, didn’t, however, completely overshadow offspinner Sohag Gazi’s five-for.Bangladesh should be concerned about the number of runs they conceded but therun-rate of 4.43 was almost expected from a bowling attack that had been outof touch with longer-version cricket for most of the 2012-13 season.Gazi, though, looked less like a bowler in hisfirst international season. He repeatedly flighted the ball while showingequal caution by keeping the ball right up to the batsmen. The youngbatsmen bought into his generous flight, and five of them fell trying to get him away and succumbed to his control. Gazi’s efforts have provided captainMushfiqur Rahim the relief of finding one bowler withwicket-taking confidence.In his third over, Gazi gave the visitors the opening wicket after AbulHasan and Rubel Hossain bowled an opening spell that didn’t cause the batsmen too many problems. Udara Jayasundera missed an off-break which turned just enough to take theoff stump, before Gazi had the home captain Angelo Perera stumped for 15just shortly following the lunch break.Gazi was given a break, during which time Mushfiqur tried out various bowling options and partnerships that weren’t successful. Niroshan Dickwella was out similarly,caught at mid-on, six overs later before the five-for was completed withthe wicket of Ishara Jayaratne in the 70th over.Vithanage, at the other end, progressed impressively against a Test attack, reaching hiscentury in the final session of play. Coming in to bat with a cap on, theVithanage, a left-hander, survived a few nervy moments at the start before playingmostly straight. He felt comfortable sweeping the ball, too, but most ofhis runs were brought about by his tendency to move towards the leg side even when thespinners pitched it up.Vithanage also took full toll of a flagging Bangladesh attack that was abowler short after the first hour. Abul Hasan threw up a couple of timesduring his first spell, suffering from dehydration and didn’t return tothe field for the rest of the day. Mushfiqur’s other concern would be asecond spinner.Elias Sunny, the left-arm spinner, is his only choice in the 15-man squad but he looked far from the accomplished first-class bowler he has been inthe last five years. He gave the left-handers more room, but wasn’t penetrative enough. Rubel had enough overs under hisbelt to feel confident and give the team management assurance that he isbuilding towards the Test match. Only Gazi will bowl with a wicket-taker’sconfidence, and Mushfiqur will look at his other options to provideeverything else if not the wickets.

Steve Smith, Usman Khawaja, Jackson Bird and Moises Henriques, all potential Ashes tourists, have been omitted from Cricket Australia’s list of centrally contracted players for 2013-14. The initial list of players was expanded from last year’s 17 to 20, the maximum allowable figure under the current MOU with the players union.As has been the case for some time, multi-format players stand a better chance of earning the immediate financial security of a CA contract than all but the highest-ranked Test match specialists, something that counted against Bird and Khawaja in particular. In their places were the likes of George Bailey, Clint McKay and Xavier Doherty, all regulars in the ODI and Twenty20 teams.While CA does not release the player rankings, it is believed that Mitchell Starc was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the extra money freed up by the retirements of Michael Hussey and Ricky Ponting. However the selection of 20 players allowed the national selectors to broaden the spread of remuneration at a time when Australian cricket has fewer outstanding performers to call on than at any stage in recent years.The selectors’ concerns about the lack of batting depth available to them was confirmed by the inclusion of only six specialist batsmen among the 20. This included Bailey, who made only one first-class 50 all summer, and the vice-captain Shane Watson. O Botafogo pode perder mais um nome para 2019. Trata-se do meia Leo Valencia. O jogador, com contrato com o Alvinegro válido até o dia 9 de julho de 2019, teria entrado na mira do Colo-Colo. A informação foi publicada inicialmente pelo jornal “El Gráfico”, do Chile. O nome do jogador entrou na lista de pedidos de contratações para 2019 elaborada pelo técnico Mario Salas à direção do clube chileno e estaria no topo da lista de prioridades para reforçar a equipe em 2019, segundo a publicação local.

NOVELA NO PEIXE

O Santos prioriza no mercado a contratação de um atacante para substituir Gabriel, mas o problema pode ser mesmo em outro setor do time: a lateral esquerda. Dodô ainda não respondeu ao clube se aceitará ou não o proposto para deixar a Sampdoria, da Itália, e ficar definitivamente no Alvinegro. Seus reservas imediatos no elenco não empolgam. O Peixe tem a prioridade na compra do jogador de 26 anos até o dia 31 deste mês.

Caso Dodô não aceite o contrato proposto pelo Santos, a lateral esquerda terá como opções Romário e Orinho, ambos passaram 2018 emprestados a outros clubes e não empolgaram quando tiveram chances no Peixe. O atacante Copete é outro que pode ser improvisado no setor. O “drama” alvinegro pode obrigar Jorge Sampaoli a experimentar uma formação com três zagueiros em vez da convencional linha de quatro defensores.

FRUSTRAÇÃO NO CORINTHIANS

Sonho do Corinthians para 2019, o atacante Diego Tardelli, atualmente sem clube após se desligar do Shandong Luneng (CHN), afirmou em seu perfil no Twitter que ainda não voltará ao Brasil – assim frustrando o desejo corintiano. O departamento de futebol do Flamengo acaba de ganhar um novo nome: Paulo Roberto Pelaipe. A gestão do presidente Rodolfo Landim anunciou o executivo como gerente de futebol nesta quarta-feira, dando sequência à reestruturação da pasta prometida durante a campanha. Pelaipe retorna à Gávea quatro anos e sete meses após deixar o cargo de diretor executivo.

Pelaipe esteve no CT Ninho do Urubu nesta manhã e, agora, inicia os trabalhos ao lado do vice-presidente de futebol Marcos Braz. O clube da Gávea está atrás de reforços, mas tem encontrado dificuldade para fechar as contratações. Até o momento, apenas Abel Braga foi oficializado como técnico do time para 2019.

DESPERTOU O INTERESSE

O Botafogo está atrás do lateral-direito Samuel Xavier para 2019. Ao menos foi o que garantiu Milton Bivar, presidente do Sport, nesta quarta-feira. O mandatário do clube pernambucano, que possui os direitos do jogador, admitiu que o Alvinegro de General Severiano, o Internacional e o Ceará estão em conversas para a contratação do atleta, de 28 anos.

– Tem alguns clubes interessados, inclusive o Ceará, mas tem outros também. O Internacional tá interessado e tem também outro clube, o Botafogo. A gente tá vendo qual o melhor negócio para o Sport. Eu prefiro que seja (uma proposta) em definitivo, já que ele já foi emprestado esse ano – afirmou o presidente do Sport ao “O Povo”.

PRÓXIMO DE RENOVAR

A história entre Fluminense e Gilberto deve ter um final feliz. As tratativas entre o clube e o jogador estão avançadas e o lateral, de 25 anos, deve confirmar a permanência no Tricolor. A informação foi dada inicialmente pelo “Globoesporte” e confirmada pelo LANCE!.

A renovação com o lateral era uma das prioridades do Flu atualmente. Ele chegou a receber outras propostas formais, mas a prioridade era o clube das Laranjeiras. A parte difícil na negociação era acertar os termos com a Fiorentina (ITA). Desta vez, o passe de Gilberto está fixado. O lateral foi um dos destaques do Fluminense na temporada, mas sofreu um edema ósseo no joelho direito em agosto e só voltará a jogar em 2019. O camisa 2 disputou 36 partidas e marcou seis gols.

SUBSTITUTO PARA SUÁREZ

Um dos principais destaques do futebol europeu dos últimos anos e artilheiro da última Copa do Mundo pela Inglaterra, Harry Kane pode vestir a camisa do Barcelona nas próximas temporadas. Segundo o ‘Daily Express’, o clube catalão aposta em Kane para substituir Luis Suárez, que irá completar 32 anos em breve.Kane tem 25 anos.

Ainda de acordo com as informações dadas pelo diário inglês, o atacante do Tottenham também veria a transferência com bons olhos e estaria disposto a trocar a Inglaterra pela Espanha, por considerar uma grande evolução na sua carreira.

RENOVAÇÃO NO ELENCO

Com suas principais estrelas já atingindo uma idade avançada, o Bayern de Munique quer começar o processo de renovação de seu elenco. Para isso, segundo o jornal alemão ‘BILD’, os Bávaros estão monitorando a situação do jovem meio-campista alemão Kai Havertz, de 19 anos.

O Portal Antena 2, da Colômbia, veiculou que o atacante do Atlético-MG Yimmi Chará , poderá voltar ao Júnior Barrnquilla. A publicação revelou que o clube mineiro ainda deve uma parcela pela compra do jogador e que o débito pode facilitar a ida para o Júnior, que busca um substituto para a vaga de Jarlan Barrera, que negocia uma transferência para o exterior.

Apesar das informações do site da Antena 2, o Atlético-MG está seguro em manter o jogador no elenco de 2019. No contrato de compra, não há uma cláusula que fale sobre uma possível devolução de Chará para o Júnior Barranquilla.

Justin Langer will complete his duties with Australia’s Test team in Brisbane before an expected announcement of his appointment as the new coach of Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers.Following the resignation of the WA coach Lachlan Stevens, Langer was approved as the WACA’s “preferred candidate” for the job at a board meeting on Wednesday night.However he will aid Australia’s tilt at securing a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series against South Africa at the Gabba before returning home to Perth.Langer had been keen to seek a senior coaching role for some time, applying for the WA job previously and also the Australian coaching role following Tim Nielsen’s exit. More recently he had been in discussions with Somerset about joining the county side as director of cricket.”We respect Justin has a very important job to do over the next five days assisting the Australian team in what is a vital match against the world’s number one Test team,” the WACA chief executive Christina Matthews said.”We will therefore allow him to concentrate on that task before we intend to speak with him about the position of Warriors and Scorchers Head Coach, and hope to make a positive announcement shortly after the completion of the Brisbane Test.”Adam Voges, meanwhile, has been confirmed as WA’s captain for the rest of the 2012-13 season. New Zealand have won all three Twenty20 matches they have played against India so far, but their captain Ross Taylor has said they wouldn’t read too much into that record. New Zealand beat India in the inaugural World Twenty20 in 2007 and swept a two-match home series in 2009, though they are yet to play India in India.”It’s a record we all would like to keep,” Taylor said on the eve of the first Twenty20 in Visakhapatnam. “But all those games were overseas – two at home and one in World Twenty20 in 2007. The Indian team play very well at home. They know the conditions well.”The two T20s against India are the last chance for New Zealand to test their squad for the World Twenty20. “A lot more cricket is coming up. Not only in the T20 series but the World Twenty20 too. Our World T20 campaign starts now. We are looking forward to how they do here before the World T20.”Two things will work in New Zealand’s favour as they look to put behind a 2-0 Test series defeat: their squad is boosted by the arrival of a raft of experienced players, and several of their team members are well-acquainted with Indian pitches due to their stints in the IPL.”New players bring in new energy,” Taylor said. “We have some experienced players in the squad in [Jacob] Oram, [Daniel] Vettori, [Kyle] Mills who have played a lot of cricket in subcontinent. We would like to see how they go in the next couple of games and also in the World Twenty20 (in Sri Lanka).”Knowing the Indian conditions, made it a bit easier than when we played earlier. But the flip side is they know our players a little better as well. We have plans to combat that.”Oram is one of the players joining the squad and he comes into the series after an outstanding Sri Lanka Premier League, where he starred with both bat and ball – he had an economy-rate of 3.82 and a strike-rate of 167.34 to propel Uva Next to the title. With New Zealand having beaten India at home in only one match across formats in the last 13 years, Oram is aware of the challenge ahead.”We are here to win but whatever happens we have to make sure we learn from the series because it’s great preparation,” Oram said. “You are not going to get a tougher competition than playing India in India. Fifty-over champs but perennial T20 favourites as well.”
