أعلنت لجنة الحكام الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، عن طاقم تحكيم مباراة الزمالك والإنتاج الحربي، المقرر إقامتها مساء اليوم الخميس.

الزمالك يلتقي مع الإنتاج الحربي، في إطار منافسات الجولة الـ16 من عمر بطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

Right before the international break, there was a glimpse that fortunes may be about to change for one Midlands club.

Aston Villa rocked up to Carrow Road and thrashed Norwich City 5-1 with club-record signing Wesley netting a brace to double his tally for the season while midfield trio Jack Grealish, Conor Hourihane and Douglas Luiz also got their names on the scoresheet.

It was just Villa’s second win of the Premier League season, but it did see them move out of the relegation zone and into 15th.

Before the match, Dean Smith’s men had only scored eight goals in their seven top-flight matches, so it may have come as a surprise to see them notch five in one game alone.

The scoring of chances has been a somewhat critical problem for the 48-year-old based on those numbers, adding to that the fact that they had received just two goals from their lone £22m striker too.

As the season draws on, there could be plenty of opportunity for Villa’s fringe cohort, youngsters, or even their loan outcasts to earn their chance at playing, especially if the side are unable to get the ball rolling after that dominant victory.

One of those with a significant opportunity could have been Andre Green, who did actually play some part in earning the club promotion last season.

He scored one goal and assisted one more in nine starts, per WhoScored, after returning from his loan spell at Portsmouth.

Green has once again gone out on loan this season to Preston North End in the Championship but has failed to make any impact of note, meaning he’s unlikely to be in Smith’s thoughts as the season rumbles on.

After scoring on his full debut in the Carabao Cup against League Two Bradford City, the winger has barely been seen.

He has played a total of just 86 minutes in the league, coming on as a substitute three times.

Green hasn’t even been named in the matchday squad for any of their last four Championship matches, which makes this loan move seem rather pointless for his career prospects.

If he’s unable to break into the side at Deepdale, it could mean that his Villa career is in serious jeopardy long-term as if he can’t produce the goods in a division below, he’s unlikely to be able to match the level of quality in the Premier League.

Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have called for the club to re-sign Gareth Bale after he and current Spurs defender Ben Davies linked up for Wales’ goal in their 1-1 draw against Croatia on Sunday.

The left-back found himself in an unusual position in the centre of the pitch before sliding a ball through to the Real Madrid attacker, who showed composure to finish into the far corner to earn his country a draw in their EURO 2020 qualifier.

The 30-year-old, rated at £54m by Transfermarkt, has endured some tough times with the La Liga outfit and has even been booed by the Bernabeu faithful on occasion, but he has still scored two and assisted two more in seven appearances in all competitions for Zinedine Zidane’s men this term.

Of course, he shone for the north London outfit previous to his move to Spain as well with 56 goals and 58 assists in 203 matches in total for Tottenham – something that clearly hasn’t been forgotten by supporters.

While one said “these two should be linking up at Spurs”, another individual demanded they “sign Bale and make that duo real”.

وأكد الدكتور أحمد أبو عبلة، رئيس الجهاز الطبي للفريق، جاهزية السولية وطاهر للمشاركة في التدريب الرئيسي للأهلي غدًا الإثنين، مشيرًا إلى أن طاهر محمد طاهر كان يعاني من التواء في الكاحل، بينما عمرو السولية يعاني من إجهاد عام، وسيتواجدان في مران الفريق غدًا بشكل طبيعي.

A new attendance record for the Women’s Super League in England was set at the weekend at the Etihad Stadium for the clash of Manchester City and Manchester United.

City won 1-0 in front of 31,213 supporters, which beat the previous attendance record at a home ground in women’s football more than six times over, as reported by BBC.

Manchester City also hold the record for the highest attendance in English domestic football history at a home ground when 84,569 people flocked to Maine Road for an FA Cup clash against Stoke in 1934. [via TalkSPORT].

Manchester City-focused Twitter channel @SuperbiaProelia pointed out the club’s status as holders of attendance records for both the men’s and women’s game in England.

Despite these record attendance figures, Manchester City’s home ground has been mockingly called the ‘Emptyhad’ by some rival supporters, as per The Sun, who reported that the average number of attendees at the ground was roughly 46,000 despite official figures of around 54,000 regularly being published.

According to The Daily Mail, Everton are still keen on a deal for Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma, but also have alternatives in the back of their minds with just two days left before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

In the aforementioned report, it is stated that the Toffees may turn their attentions to Old Trafford if a move for Zouma is completely given the red light by Chelsea.

The Merseysiders may attempt to lure one of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones or Marcos Rojo to Goodison Park following the £85m arrival of Harry Maguire, as Marco Silva looks to beef up his backline which has just two centre-backs in it right now – Yerry Mina and Michael Keane.

But who should Everton target out of the three?

As you can see, we have excluded Rojo as he only made five appearances last term, so let’s take a more in-depth look at Smalling and Jones.

Judging by the stats, the pair are fairly well matched. Smalling beats Jones in the tackles per game department with 1.3 compared to the former Blackburn man’s 1.1, although the shoe is on the other foot when it comes to interceptions.

However, the £18m-rated Smalling just edges it. The 29-year-old makes a whole clearance per game more than the United No.4, and also makes 0.4 more blocks per game on average.

Furthermore, Smalling has missed just eight games through injury since the end of the 2016/17 season, whereas Jones is not available as often as his fellow centre-back – the 27-year-old has missed 22 games in the same time period.

Of course, given how long the pursuit of Zouma has gone on for this summer, the France international appears to be the No.1 target for Silva and Everton.

If they simply can’t pull it off though, Smalling would be a decent alternative and should unquestionably be considered as favourite ahead of Jones and Rojo.

Manchester United were forced to settle for a draw at Molineux on Monday night, and the performance of Wolves’ Ruben Neves caught the eye of several Red Devils fans.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side did everything right for the most part. The defence looked solid again with Harry Maguire marshalling things, while Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford continued their great starts to the season, linking up together for the opening goal.

The game was controlled well and Paul Pogba was dictating the pace in midfield. Unfortunately though, sometimes you just get done by a little piece of sheer quality.

Neves struck a superb equaliser ten minutes after half-time, and fans are calling for the club to sign the Portugal international in the next transfer window.

The 22 year-old, who is valued at £40.5m by Transfermarkt, is in contract with Wolves until 2023.

Fans don’t care about that though, and are questioning why they didn’t move for the long-shot specialist this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are confident of announcing the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon next week, per Football Insider.

What’s the word?

The France international has been linked with a move to Spurs throughout the summer transfer window.

And the aforementioned report claims that the north London club have “made a breakthrough” in talks with the Ligue 1 side as they look to seal a £60m deal.

The overall deal, Football Insider claim, will be worth £55m plus £5m in add-ons despite Lyon’s desire to receive a fee of nearer £70m.

Ndombele, of course, would then become Spurs’ record signing, eclipsing the £42m paid for Davinson Sanchez in 2017.

A relative bargain

This is a huge deal for Spurs and it appears that chairman Daniel Levy has played a blinder.

Ndombele has been linked with a number of other clubs this summer including Manchester United and PSG – Football Insider claim that he only wants to move to north London, however, despite mooted interest from Juventus – and yet Levy is snapping him up for a relatively low fee in the current climate.

Compare this deal, for example, to Manchester United’s reported pursuit of John McGinn, a player who was featuring for Aston Villa in the Championship last season: the newly-promoted club are said to want £50m, just £10m less than the overall cost of the Ndombele deal.

Likewise, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has just cost United an initial £45m – he’s a right-back who has never played senior international football or featured in European competitions.

It is clear that this would be a statement signing that would send a serious message from Spurs. That they’re doing it for such a fair price, too, is incredible. Even once the full £60m is paid, Tottenham will still have a lesser club-record fee than Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United and Man City.
